“Greater love has no one than this,
that one lay down his life for his friends
."
John 15:13

Monti's 16-man patrol was attacked on the evening of June 21, 2006, in Nuristan Province,
along the border with Pakistan,
where they had been dispatched to disrupt insurgent activities.

Ambush

Approximately 50 enemy fighters ambushed the patrol,
firing on them with rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns.

During the battle, Monti realized that one of his soldiers, Private 1st Class Brian J. Bradbury, had been severely injured and separated from the patrol.

Without hesitation or concern for his own safety,
Monti moved out from behind the protection of the large rocks into the open,
& into the face of enemy fire.

Monti tried twice to reach Bradbury and was driven back by enemy fire.
On his third attempt he was mortally wounded by a rocket-propelled grenade,
falling a few meters from Bradbury.

He tried to crawl back toward cover but was unable because of his injuries.

A true American Patriot of our times,  a man who gave up fame and fortune to back his brother up and inflict some old school payback on those responsible for the 9/11 Attacks.
This man paid the ultimate price.

An American Hero.

Thank you Pat.

On Sept. 29, 2006, while on a mission in Ramadi, Iraq, Monsoor and other members of a Navy SEAL sniper team were within a moment of death. An insurgent had tossed a grenade into their hideout, hitting Monsoor in the chest before bouncing to the floor.

In an instant, Monsoor was on the grenade, using his body to shield his comrades from the blast.

"He never took his eye off the grenade, his only movement was down toward it," said a lieutenant who sustained shrapnel wounds to both legs that day. "He undoubtedly saved mine and the other SEALs' lives, and we owe him."

19-year-old Army Pfc. Ross McGinnis of Knox, Pa.,

McGinnis was perched in the gunner's hatch of a Humvee when a grenade sailed past him and into the truck where four other soldiers sat. He shouted a warning to the others, then jumped on the grenade. The grenade, which was lodged near the vehicle's radio, blew up and killed him.

Lt. Col. Anne Edgecomb, an Army spokeswoman, said McGinnis easily could have jumped out of the truck and saved himself.

Spann was killed during a riot at the Qala-i-Jangi compound, he fought with his AK-47 until it ran out of ammunition, then drew his pistol and emptied it, before turning to hand to hand combat but outnumbered and over run by Taliban prisoners until they killed him.

"LETS ROLL"

Three hundred forty three ran in as others ran out.
Three hundred forty three never returned.

Never underestimate the will of Americans.

The One who gave His life for all mankind,
He is a Warrior,  who came as a Lamb.

He was chosen out of the warrior tribe of Judah
& not from the priestly tribe of Levi for a reason.

He became Son of Man,  a passive Lamb,
when He returns,  He will return as the
Lion of Judah,  The Warrior.

HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR ALL OF US!
