"What do I want to say to God after reading & reflecting on His Scripture?"

Lectio & Meditatio:  we listen to God.
Reflective listening leads spontaneously to prayer.

in Oratio we speak to God.

Oratio:

Our prayerful RESPONSE to God.

Any passage of Scripture can move us to Oratio.

Praying in response to  God's Word,
Oratio is rooted directly in prayerful reading
& meditation on the Scriptural  text.

Scripture  is not only at the center of our listening,
Scripture is also at the heart of our response.

THIS IS THE Moment OF PRAYER
Oratio  is our prayerful response to God.

Once we realize God's  call to us,  His  personal challenge
or the insight He is trying to give,
He is waiting for our answer!

Lectio Divina is a genuine dialogue with God,
a listening and a response.

Oratio  is our response, our prayer.

React in the presence of the sacred text
with free & spontaneous prayer.

As we respond to God's Word  in our prayer,
we realize that it has penetrated our heart & soul.

His Word  has now become our word.

When we discover an ability
& desire to pray within our hearts,
this is a gift from the Holy Spirit.

If we let Him take control,
God  promises that His  Holy Spirit
will come into our heart & soul to pray with us.

He receives our Spirit guided prayer
& gives us all that we need according to His  loving plan for us.

Holy Spirit  constantly breathes life into Scripture.
God  speaks to us through His ancient Scripture
so we address our prayerful reply
& thanks to the One  who has spoken to us.
